ANBIMA CEO José Carlos Doherty to speak at the 2025 IIFA Conference in Kuala Lumpur, joining global leaders to discuss trends in investment funds, digital regulation, and investor protection

The 38th edition of the International Investment Funds Association (IIFA) Conference will take place from September 8 to 10 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Hosted by the Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM), the event brings together global leaders to address the evolving landscape of the investment funds industry.

This year’s agenda will explore the theme “Rethinking Global Funds: Navigating Tariffs and Economic Shifts,” and will include sessions on global perspectives on wealth accumulation and decumulation, as well as country sharing experiences on investor education initiatives to chart a smarter investor future.

ANBIMA’s chief executive officer, José Carlos Doherty, will participate as a featured speaker in the panel “Digital Influence Meets Investor Protection: Global Perspectives and Regulatory Trends.”

Other confirmed speakers include Eric J. Pan, chairman of the International Investment Funds Association (IIFA); Valentín Galardi, chairman of the Argentine Mutual Funds Association (CAFCI); and Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi, executive chairman of the Securities Commission Malaysia.
