As COP30 unfolds in Belém, Anbima (Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association) is reinforcing its commitment to positioning capital markets as a catalyst for climate action. In close collaboration with other leading financial institutions, Anbima has helped prepare the market through capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge sharing. At the conference, we are taking part in high-level discussions, cross-sector forums, and strategic panels that underscore the vital role of capital markets in advancing a net-zero, climate-resilient economy.

Sustainable Finance Forum
Organized by Anbima, CNseg (Brazilian Insurance Confederation), and Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks), the forum brings together banks, asset managers, brokers, insurers, and investors to strengthen the role of Brazil’s financial sector in the transition to a low-carbon economy. With participation from regulators, business leaders, and international partners, the event will focus on innovative solutions and cross-sector collaboration. This forum marks an unprecedented mobilization of the financial sector to accelerate adaptation, resilience, and climate-aligned action.

World Climate Summit & The Investment COP
Now in its 16th edition, the World Climate Summit & The Investment COP arrives in Belém as the largest business-focused event of COP30. Organized by the World Climate Foundation and supported institutionally by Anbima, the summit highlights investment as a key lever for the transition to a low-carbon economy. The event will gather investors, banks, asset managers, companies, and international policymakers to discuss sustainable finance, climate innovation, and capital opportunities for green solutions.

As part of the official COP30 programming in the Brazil Pavilion (Green Zone), Anbima will host a panel in partnership with Febraban and CNseg. The session will emphasize the strategic role of Brazil’s financial and insurance sectors in financing the climate transition. Participants include representatives from banks, insurers, asset managers, and public authorities, reinforcing the commitment of Brazil’s financial system to sustainable development and climate finance mobilization.

Throughout 2025, the Road to COP30 initiative—led by Anbima, CNseg, and Febraban—helped prepare professionals from financial institutions and insurers to understand the climate-related risks and opportunities shaping the future. The program included free online workshops and in-person events focused on governance, finance, emissions, and transition plans. The initiative culminates with an in-person closing session during the COP30 conference in Belém, bringing together market participants committed to climate action.
