ANBIMA's Diversity and Inclusion Survey 2025

Toward Equity: Who Makes Up the Capital Markets Workforce

Women now represent 35.4% of the workforce in Brazil’s capital markets, with management roles showing the greatest progress toward gender equity: 42.9% of managers are women. The second edition of Anbima’s Diversity and Inclusion survey also reveals rising engagement across the industry: 92% of institutions say their internal efforts have evolved since 2022, and more than half now consider themselves actively engaged in the agenda.

The survey, based on data from 154 financial institutions, also shows that practical initiatives—such as inclusive hiring, parental leave, and professional development—are gaining traction. Still, many firms have yet to implement long-term strategies like setting formal targets and conducting internal censuses. Leadership engagement remains a key challenge, cited by 42% of respondents.

These insights will help guide future priorities under the Anbima in Action 2025–2026 plan.
